In the Bio4Pak project carried out at the Faculty of Biology and Environmental Protection of the University of Lodz, we are putting this idea into practice through a new partnership with the Strzemiński Academy of Fine Arts Łódź, bringing together microbiology, art and education.
Science, Art and Education from an Early Age
Students of the Strzemiński Academy of Fine Arts Łódź will create a “project hero” character and develop the storyline for an educational children's book about the beneficial role of bacteriophages in our environment. Through accessible characters and engaging stories, we aim to introduce this still little-known topic and inspire scientific curiosity among the youngest audiences.
To support the students in understanding the scientific foundations of their creative work, we began the cooperation with a visit to a microbiology laboratory at the Faculty of Biology and Environmental Protection of the University of Lodz.

Creative Plans for the Future
The children's book is just the beginning. Our joint plans also include unique jewellery and textile designs inspired by the structure and functioning of phages.
