In Poland you will be able to exchange money in banks and in „KANTOR” currency exchange booths. There are a lot such places as well as ATM machines in big cities. In Białowieza, however, a very small village, you will be able to exchange your money at only one place, Bank Społdzielczy, located about 300 meters from conference hall. The bank exchanges only USD and Euros. The only ATM in the vicinity is located about 1 km from the conference hall in Hotel “Żubrówka”

Dear Trichopterologists,
We have put more information on the website about the Proceedings. Again, we would like to ask you to answer the questions included in the second, short on-line questionnaire (Questionnaire – Proceedings) by 1st of June.
If you haven’t yet answered the first questionnaire because you still don’t know the flight number and the time of your arrival, please fill in at least this part of the questionnaire which concerns your presentation(s) as soon as possible. When you know the details of your arrival you will fill in the respective part of the questionnaire.
Your answers are essentials for us for writing the detailed program
We look forward to seeing you in Białowieża.

Dear Trichopterologists,
In April we were again in Białowieża to make last arrangements and were happy to ascertain that everything is proceeding smoothly. However, we realized that several aspects of the Symposium need to be communicated to you, the participants, and that your input is essential. We would like you therefore to fill out a short on-line questionnaire. Your answers are very important for us.To date, 73 researchers and 18 accompanying persons have registered for the Symposium. We have booked all rooms in Hotel “Iwa” (Guest Rooms of BNP) for the participants of the Symposium. We have also reserved the hotel “Dom Myśliwski” (Hunting House). It also belongs to the Bialowieza Park and is about 200 meters from “Iwa”. “Dom Myśliwski” has very nice balconies and the surrounding palace park is most beautiful. While “Dom Myśliwski” exudes, in my opinion, an old time charm, its standard is a little lower than that of “Iwa”. Most rooms in both hotels are double or triple rooms. Unfortunately a lot of people wish to have single room. In this situation we ask some of you to help us out and change your reservation from a single to a double room. Some participants will have to be accommodated in the third hotel - “Unikat”. It is an old style wooden private hotel about 800 meters from the conference hall. The prices in this hotel are similar to the hotel “Iwa” but a traditional Białowieża breakfast is included in price.
To date we have received proposals for 34 oral presentations and about 45 posters. It means that we have a lot of time. In this case we will be able to extend the duration of lectures from 15 minutes to 20 minutes plus 5 minutes for discussion. Should you decide to deliver an oral presentation instead of a poster session, we will gladly accommodate your request. In our opinion some poster are ideal for an oral presentation and you should have enough time to make necessary changes in order to present it. We also propose a longer and more formal poster session with moderators and obligatory author presentation (5 minutes + questions) in front of the poster. Posters should fit within 70 cm (width) x 1.50 m (height).
We have permission for collecting adults inside a Palace Park, but I think that using a power generator could be difficult. It will be more convenient to use batteries and tubes for light trapping. Collecting of adults will also be possible during the excursion to the Narew National Park. Canoeing and rowing will be possible on the peaceful Narew River. Please note, that due to mosquitoes, a bug (sic!) repellent may come in handy.
More than 60 people will be traveling by buses from Warsaw to Bialowieża. Please inform us about the time of your arrival at Warsaw (F. Chopin Airport – Okęcie) and you flight number (on-line questionnaire). The coach leaves at 5 pm on 21st of June. We will meet you at the F. Chopin Airport Okecie in Warsaw and the exact place where we will meet will be posted on our website in early June.
Because some participants have already asked us to leave Białowieża earlier on Saturday (27th June) the first bus will leave Bialowieza at 10 am and the second at 1 pm.
Travel from Warsaw to Bialowieza takes about 5 hours. The cost of transportation is 15 Euro (one way) paid at the time of registration at the reception desk.
Acting on the advice of professor John Morse, who will be a co-editor of Proceedings, we have decided to publish it in ZOOSYMPOSIA (http://www.mapress.com/zoosymposia/index.htm). The editorial standards are similar to those of Zootaxa; in fact Zoosymposia is intended to be a sister journal to Zootaxa, allowing papers on all branches of zoology. The advantages of Zoosymposia are many and similar to those of Zootaxa. The main differences between the proceedings published in ZOOSYMPOSIA and those of previous Trichoptera symposia will be the necessity for anonymous peer reviews and the availability of on-line versions of the published papers (free to users if authors pay the page charges) in addition to paper versions.
For your convenience and for the sake of the organization of the Symposium we would appreciate the pre-payment of your registration fee.
We look forward to seeing you in Białowieża.
